Dear guests, volunteers, and supporters of SPiN Cafe,
We’ve searched for over two months to locate a new place for our coffee shop and dinner service, since our landlord announced that we would need to vacate our long-time space on Bayshore by December 31.
The good news is that, in the midst of ongoing support from churches, pastors, and individuals from all over our local faith community, two amazing congregations in our city have stepped up to partner with us, agreeing to host midweek dinners beginning this week.
St. Stephen’s Episcopal will be open for us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; on Thursdays we will serve at Church on the Rock. Please see details and addresses below. There will be some exceptions and rescheduling in the first couple of weeks, due to Christmas activities.
Sadly we still have not located an appropriate space for our daily coffee shop. We need about 1,600 square feet located near transit lines and close to our city’s downtown services.
As we all know, dozens of our neighbors here in the North Whidbey community have come to depend on us for a cup of coffee, a refuge from the weather, and a bit of friendship and dignity.
We are inspired by your devotion, your prayers, and your creative ideas, and we will continue to search until we find a new place to serve the people of our community.
