Volunteer at SPiN Cafe

SPiN Cafe relies on a committed crew of caring volunteers.

Many of our volunteers are affiliated with local churches and community-minded organizations. SPiN Cafe volunteers have logged thousands of hours serving meals and companionship and dignity to our guests. They’ve stepped up throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, distributing sack lunches at Hal Ramaley Memorial Park during several months when we could no longer serve meals indoors.

CURRENT NEEDS: 1-2 volunteers to help staff run our Day Shelter at 1241 SW Barlow St., across from Dairy Queen in Oak Harbor. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with signing in guests
  • Serving food and beverages
  • Cleaning tables
  • Helping guests find printed information
  • Interact with guests in a positive uplifting manner
