Founder and Acting Director: Vivian Rogers Decker
Vivian Rogers Decker, founder of SPIN Café, has been serving the community for the last 18 years as a homeless liaison and student support specialist for two local school districts. She has a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. In addition, she has been instrumental in founding six different non-profit organizations and projects, of which SPIN Café is her most recent endeavor. Vivian is passionate about creating communities that are responsive to the needs of all citizens, especially those members who are struggling with issues related to poverty and homelessness.

Vice President: Bob Wall
Born in Los Angeles, California and proudly married to Carol Wall, Bob has four children, ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Bob’s eldest child moved to Oak Harbor and had the nerve to take his children with him. Gramma and Bob followed and moved to be with the grandchildren through the high school years. They stayed, bought a home fifteen years ago and now spend most of the time in Oak Harbor with travels to see family in Southern California and Indiana at least annually. Bob is a semi retired State Farm agent who enjoys real estate, creative writing, reading, and a variety of friends. He loves being a member of Oak Harbor Lutheran Church and serving on the Sister City Committee there, as well as volunteering and serving on the Board of SPIN Café. Bob’s goal is to serve the people of Oak Harbor, especially those in need.
Secretary: Ramona Ferguson
Ramona Ferguson grew up in Oak harbor, WA. She was one of the lucky military kids that went all thru school in one place. Ramona has always volunteered her time and talents to serve her community. She enjoys helping others whether it is in her church youth group, at SPIN Café, with the Whidbey Playhouse, or for the Oak Harbor School District. She knows the struggles and hardship of being a single parent as well as homelessness. Ramona is the SPIN representative to Feed The Need She has been on the board of SPIN Café from its' inception, as well as serving on other non profit boards.
Treasurer: Karola Cornelius
Karola Cornelius (aka K.C.) is a retired property appraiser and liquidation specialist from the United States Treasury Department/Internal Revenue Service. She joined Spin Café three years ago as a volunteer, now serves as Treasurer on the Spin Café Board. She also volunteerS on the grant writing committee. Other than serving people in need at the SPIN Cafe her passions are equestrian activities, mah jongg, and art.
Board Member: Claire Vorauer
Claire is a Seattle native who is slowly working towards retirement on Whidbey Island. During the week she’s an import designer of home décor and on the weekends she’s proud to be called the “bag lady”, keeping busy sewing Spin Café’s trademark feed sack grocery bags. She was drawn to Spin Café because of its ability to bring together small organizations and individuals to help those in need. Individually we may be small, but together we are mighty! When not working or sewing Claire loves all things outdoors especially kayaking and snowshoeing.
